Announcing the PENTAX KP APS-C DSLR

In a compact, portable body designed for daily use, this high-end model provides a full range of specifications as well as an assortment of customization features to help the photographer produce outstanding imagery and accommodate their specific photographic requirements.

The PENTAX KP is a high-performance, high-resolution camera which extends the scope of digital SLR photography to encompass everyday images to those achieved in challenging photographic situations. The newly designed mechanism inside its compact, slim body features a new-generation CMOS image sensor and a high-performance imaging engine to deliver extremely high-resolution, rich-gradation images using its 24.32 effective megapixels. It also incorporates other advanced features including a five-axis shake-reduction system, which provides a compensation effect of five shutter steps.

The PENTAX KP is designed to be highly dependable in the harsh environmental conditions found in outdoor photography, as it incorporates reliable features such as a dustproof, weather-resistant construction and cold-proof performance down to temperatures as low as -10°C. It also offers a range of customization features, such as a grip replacement system to personalize and accommodate the photographer’s shooting style or mounted lens.  It also features a flexible control panel layout designed to meet the photographer’s particular requirements.
